"Art as Philosophy"

In the world of ICT, a Hub is a device for network connection. Its technology deals with mainly with three issues:

a. enabling multiples of network connection
b. establishing passage ways
c. resource sharing

"Connects the unconnected" - Make it real! - rightly "fusing" together!

Yes, Tony.
However, one of the challenges created by the proliferation of hubs is the demand for Attention. I can not tell you how many groups and networks I am a part of, yet alone how many I have been/am invited to. This has led me to consider the value of a given hub in relation to demands for Attention.

The major value is not in the technology it is in the quality of Attention and ideas.

All the best,
Yvette

Hi Yvette,

You are right in what you said but let me explain more about my context in the concept of the hub.

I am actually talking about "this particular hub" for "this particular organization". Not a combination of networks but "a defined region" with "adequate coordination".

I dont expect you to join every network that you are invited to. I myself have been invited to various networks and I have declined to very many of them. I cant be everywhere and besides I may not need to be part of some networks. There is need for "quality of attention and ideas". I need focus and dedication to meet the demands. I may not do that perfectly if my attention is required in every axis. So I am talking about "this hub that is dedicated to this network".

One organization but many workstations to complete the network with proper coordination towards quality of attention and ideas.

Cultural Fusion (the organization); the Theme of the organization (the hub); forming the network of collective individuals (members).

All the best,
Tony

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the clarification.
How can I disagree with you on that? :-)

Btw, did you see my latest blog post or post to the forum about inviting people to contribute for the next video? After much discussion about the branding of Cultural Fusion, Cherrie of Global Gia Marketing had a brainstorm session this past weekend and she came up with the concept.

I point this out because it could be a great way to start promoting various artist communities/organizations. Perhaps this would be something of interest to your Ministry of Art/Culture? Could you help introduce this opportunity to the artist community there? My thinking is you could have a few or several artist shoot their clips in your national art museum with their work in the background (2D work, performances, etc). What do you think?

Make it a GREAT day!

All the best,
Yvette

Hi Yvette,

Thanks for your comment. I saw your post which is quite interesting.

I'll see if any artists here would like to participate. It may not be a group thing, just about individuals. Have you posted this info in SICU ART? Some artists there may like to be among. Inger-Mette also talked about artists in 360Hub.

Thanks and all the best,

Tony

yes Yvette i agree with you on that entering the web which has millions of people surfing the number one aim has become ATTENTION and how to gain that attention, from surfing the popular social site Myspace we see tons of half naked woman trying to obtain as much attention as they can,so hits have become the order of the day but does that hits really add value! So adding quality social media sites that gives that quality that we need and seek is valueble
