As part of the latest phase in our development I am working on some programs to help promote member projects, website and content.
If you have something really exciting you'd like us to pay attention to please post it here with a link and any relevant info. I will also be looking through the content and links you post on your profile and blogs, so please update with new info about your work as you are able.
Based on the responses we get from our different Cultural Fusion groups here and on other social networks, we'll see if this rotates weekly or monthly...or maybe I'll come up with a different model.
Those that are invited to participate in Cultural Fusion Experience shows or collaborations will also be first in line for the live events being developed.
If you have any questions please contact my assistant Chris at cfaap2006 at gmail.com
Thank you for posting your links here! I see you are also on OTV :-) http://theoriginstv.ning.com
I will start going through your links. We will get in touch with you about specific ideas to help get the word out about your work.
After I get this idea rolling for the Cultural Fusion groups I will start to extend it to other groups of shared interest such as OTV. If you have any questions or specific goals you'd want me to consider in this equation please get in touch with Chris and lay it on us :-)
Hi Yvette,
Things are going very nicely at Solomon Source (www.solomonsource.com). We had some issues with the shopping cart at Lulu, so the book launch got delayed. However, it will be up at Scribd tonight. I will post the link later. The team is forming, and I have been building a kind of integrated network, using Ning, blogspot, etc. I've set up a "Collaborative Network" (http://solomonsource.ning.com), (http://solomonsource.blogspot.com) and am using "Experiential University" (http://experientialuniversity.blogspot. com) as a place to host educational content. It looks like will be building a foundation on "Individual Empowerment" and yesterday I had a really inspired writing session to frame this up. We also have found another wonderful book "Turning Conflict Into Harmony", and it is posted for free at Solomon Source. I was thinking about you this morning for the possibility to create a little magazine template, like Oci Novosti. Anyway, just wanted to keep you in the loop - things are picking up. BTW: I haven't seen anything come in from Chris on NSF. Thanks for the invitation for attention!
Congratulations on all your progress! I will have Chris start to compile member info and links. Once I have the programs fleshed out I'll post some of that info here. At this point I believe we'll have something that ranges from featured links and quotes (in the CF groups and/or Oci Novosti) to full on invitations to collaborate on specific projects or events.
Yes, we've had a slight change in plans after looking closely at the time table and some of the NSF requirements didn't gel with some fundamental principles of my work - namely maintaining attention to authenticity and genuine connections. It seems that it is the type of convergence that shape the depth of collaborations.
However, the research proposal is something we've agreed to continue to work on for other opportunities - so we're going to write a paper first. After that is published it will give us some reference to point to that will help set the scene for this work as a Major Project. Instead of shaping the project proposal to a grant - we will connect with the right funder once the project collaboration (and collaborators) are more clearly defined.
Oh, and my blog post earlier this week helped me to frame up the book I had started sometime back - I think I had shared part of that with you. I am collaborating with Eduardo Martinez who is doing the music for the poem that is being used near the end. I have a few people that will be reading it to provide feedback within the next few weeks so if interested let me know.
I'm really excited about the magical Journey to Damanhur (Italy), that I'm organizing. The journey isin may 2010. Damanhur is a very inspiring community. Damanhur is a collective dream transformed into reality thanks to the creative power of positive thought. It is a laboratory for the future, a seed that has been growing for over thirty years, constantly transforming and renewing itself so as to bring to life the reality its citizens together dreamed of and built.
Damanhur is a worldwide source of inspiration for how to realize dreams.
For more info you can see the flyer and ofcourse you can contact me.
This sounds quite intriguing. I do have a few questions and would appreciate the chance to learn more about what has inspired you to put this together. Is this something you plan on making an annual event?
Ofcourse you can ask me questions. Since 2004 I've been coming to Damanhur and did a lot of workshops and spend time in the temples and in the nature around Damanhur. I always did this in a group of people and this was a special time for me, we were companians on our path.
The workshops and the dream of Damnhur has changed my life a lot.
This could be an annual event, that would be great. It would also be interesting to have a group with people from all over the world, this isn.t very standard I think.
I would like to post about http://www.metairiehumane.org/howloweenie.aspx, the Metairie Humane Howl-O-Weenie fundraiser, just in case anyone in the Greater New Orleans Area is reading this.
I know it has been a while, but the event was a success and Metairie Humane plans to do it again.
Anyone interested in a volunteering opportunity can contact the organization at metairiehumane@metairiehuane.org
I will add more information on activities for other groups as I can.
