Cat Moss is co-founder of the Passionist Movement.
Passionism is the first French artistic movement of the 21st Century, and the first artistic movement in the history of art to be spearheaded by women and followed by artists of all types around the globe. Passionist artists include writers, painters, poets, musicians, film directors, and fashion designers.
Lauched officially to the public at the Forum de Nice in 2002, it was created by Cat Moss and metcuc in 2000. By now, hundreds of artists worldwide are proud to call themselves Passionists.
Passionist art comes from the heart, not the head. It is born independently of the will of the artist, with no pre-planning or founding concept. Thus, Passionism is the antithesis of conceptual art, seeking to bring art back to what it was originally about: the fruit of passion and beauty.
Cat Moss has exhibited her work in a number of galleries worldwide, including the prestigious Gallerie Dorval in Paris, France (December 2003 and January 2004); The Hotel de Ville (Mayor's office) in Paris, France (2005, 2006); Sophia Antipolis Art Tour (Sophia Antipolis, France, 2003); Plastik (Ibiza, Spain, 2004, 2005, 2006); KM5 (Ibiza, Spain, 2003); Hotel Es Vive (Ibiza, Spain, 2004); Patachocas Hotel (Morro de Sao Paolo, Bahia, Brasil, 2005); Jaded Lyfestyles (Cape Town, South Africa, 2007).
Her work is owned by artists such as Barry Flanagan, celebrities (including musicians, movie directors, and writers) and prominent members of society throughout the world.
10% of all Cat Moss' profits go to her charity help2read (www.help2read.org)
